David Augustin
Hi! David here. I've been teaching people to be “musical on guitar” since 1999. My formal training was at Berklee College of Music in Boston. My playing experience comes from 30 years of gigging, including seven years as a musician on Princess Cruise Lines and even a gig with a Motown legend.
But my real love, even over gigging, is teaching. I believe making music is one of the best things being human has to offer, and I want to do my part to help people have that experience. And, it seems to be working! Just listen to the music former students are making. (Listen on the videos page.) I think any teacher worth his salt, and who has been doing it awhile, should have this kind of proof that he is not just all talk.
For a small teaching studio, I have a large percentage of alumni that keep playing for life, and many make albums or even pursue music professionally.
I love the one-on-one format. Because of this, more often than not, students and I get into really deep conversations about music, and it’s really rewarding and fun.
My mission is simple: to get you to the point where making music is an ordinary part of your daily life. Play for yourself, your cat, your family, your friends, your fans -- it's all good!
Call me! Let's set it up. You owe it to yourself to have music in your life. It'll be fun.
I promise.
